SURVIVOR
Each week I will pick two games, my “Play it Safe” selection as well as my “Out on a Limb” pick:

Play It Safe: Patriots at WAS
With the Dolphins on a bye, most Survivor players will need to find a different strategy to roll with in Week 5. I generally stay clear of double-digit road faves, but the Redskins are so bad and the Patriots don’t have letdowns very often. Go Pats!

Out on a Limb: Vikings at NYG
The Vikings looked brutal last week in Chicago, but should bounce back nicely here matched up versus an overmatched Giants’ D. Minnesota comes with risk, but in the end they’ll help you stay alive.

THURSDAY NIGHT SPECIAL
I am moving my complete “Against the Spread” plays to a separate article that will run each Saturday or Sunday morning this season. In its place here, I am introducing a new Thursday night betting recommendation. My starting Thursday night bankroll for the purposes of this article is $1000.

Starting Balance: $1000
Current Balance: $1035

The Pick:
$110 – Rams +1.5

After getting burned by the Rams last week in their letdown vs. the Bucs, I have some questions about the team’s defense. However, I still think they’re the better team here and I’ll generally always take the points and the better team.
