SURVIVOR
Each week I will pick two games, my “Play it Safe” selection as well as my “Out on a Limb” pick:

Play It Safe (11-2): Cowboys vs. HOU
If you didn’t listen to me last week and did not take Dallas vs. Indy. Now is your chance to do so. Dallas is -1600 on the ML and a three-score favorite at home to the Texans. That’s about as safe as it can get in the NFL.

Out on a Limb (6-7): Raiders at LAR
I don’t like taking Survivor picks playing on Thursday or ones playing on the road. I definitely also don’t usually consider teams with losing records this late in the season. However, the Rams are so bad I cannot resist the temptation of picking against them.

THURSDAY NIGHT SPECIALS
Look for my “Against the Spread” plays in a separate article that will run each Saturday this season. Here I will look at my Thursday night betting recommendation.

The Pick:
$110 Under 44.5 (-110 DraftKings)
Season total: (8-5 on season; +$270 season total)

Going with the under on the Raiders is always a scary proposition. However, the Rams’ offense is so putrid in the wake of all the injuries they won’t be able to take advantage of the plus matchup.

Same Game Parlay (DraftKings)
Season total: (-$15)

$20 (+245 DraftKings)

  • Raiders to win
  • Josh Jacobs 75+ RuYd
  • Davante Adams 75+ ReYd
  • Tyler Higbee 3+ receptions
