Each week I will pick two games, my “Play it Safe” selection as well as my “Out on a Limb” pick:
Play It Safe (9-1): Cowboys at CAR
If you didn’t use them last week, this is the week to pull out the Cowboys. They’re on the road, but matched up against one of the worst teams in football once again as they travel to Carolina. The 11-point favorites should have no problem cruising in this one.
Out on a Limb (6-4): Texans vs. ARI
A week after burning me in this spot by upsetting the Bengals, I am definitely willing to roll with C.J. Stroud and the upstart Texans as they welcome the Cardinals. There is a bit of a risk of a let down game for the young Houston team after their big win a week ago and the Cards are much more formidable with the return of Kyler Murray and James Conner, but at this point in the season you need to dig deep and Houston makes sense here.

I actually bet this at +4 on Tuesday, but I still like it above a field goal. Both teams have key injuries entering this contest and both are coming off tough losses a week ago. The Ravens are a tough challenge for Cincinnati and the teams know each other well. For Cincinnati this is being built up as a “must-win” game and with his back to the wall this entire bet here is me betting on Joe Burrow. I expect a close game in this one either way and in those cases I usually take the points.
