Between COVID-19 and bye weeks there have been enough hurdles for fantasy owners to deal with in 2020. No hurdle though has been larger than the injury bug. This week is no exception. Here’s a look at some injuries to be aware heading into the rest of Week 9’s action.
QUARTERBACKS
Matthew Stafford – hoping to play, but currently on Reserve-COVID19 list
Drew Brees (right shoulder) – expected to play SNF vs. TB, but still not a good sign.
Sam Darnold (shoulder) – upgraded to limited participant on Friday; on track to play vs. NE.
Mitch Trubisky (shoulder) – considered week-to-week, but not put on IR.
RUNNING BACKS
Chris Carson (foot) – both he & Carlos Hyde (hamstring) ruled out
Ezekiel Elliott (hamstring) – Limited all week in practice
Kenyan Drake (ankle) – ruled out for Wk 9, but injury may not be as bad as thought
Myles Gaskin (MCL) – placed on IR; w/Matt Breida (hamstring) also out, Jordan Howard in-line to start
Mark Ingram (ankle) – DNP all week, unlikely to play vs. IND
Phillip Lindsay (foot) – full practice on Friday, good to go
Devonta Freeman (ankle) – ruled out another week
Troymaine Pope (concussion) – doubtful for Wk 9

(Not an injury but Giants coach Joe Judge said it’s possible Golden Tate won’t play Sunday after some controversial tweets earlier in the week).

Mo Allie-Cox (knee) – questionable after putting in limited practice on Friday
