SURVIVOR
Each week I will pick two games, my “Play it Safe” selection as well as my “Out on a Limb” pick:

Play It Safe: Miami vs. NYJ
The Jets are the worst team in the NFL right now, so not picking against them is getting harder and harder to do. Doing so this week with Miami on tap make sense, especially for those of you playing in leagues that have been going on Since Week 1 and teams are starting to thin out.

Out on a Limb: Vikings vs. ATL
Perhaps firing Dan Quinn will wake up the Falcons, but I’m not banking on it. The Vikings need to keep pace in the NFC playoff picture and must take care of business here at home to the winless Falcons.

THURSDAY NIGHT SPECIAL
You can get my complete “Against the Spread” plays to a separate article that will run each Saturday or Sunday morning this season. In its place here, I offer up a Thursday night betting recommendation. My starting Thursday night bankroll for the purposes of this article was $1000.

Starting Balance: $1000
Current Balance: $1070

The Pick:
No game

After the Bucs blew it in Week 5, I was glad to take a rare Thursday off in Week 6. I look forward to starting a new winning streak in Week 7.
