SURVIVOR
Each week I will pick two games, my “Play it Safe” selection as well as my “Out on a Limb” pick:

Play It Safe: Seahawks vs. NYJ
Sorry but after coming up flat vs. the Giants last week, Seattle is too hard to pass up here against the Jets. After watching them blow their first win a week ago, the team fired their D-Coordinator Gregg Williams. Look for Russell Wilson and this offense to break out of their slump here and win big!

Out on a Limb: Packers at DET
I generally avoid taking division rivals on the road, but the Lions are lifeless and no match here. I expect the Packers to control this contest from start to finish and have no issue rolling with them if needed.

THURSDAY NIGHT SPECIAL
You can get my complete “Against the Spread” plays to a separate article that will run each Saturday or Sunday morning this season. In its place here, I offer up a Thursday night betting recommendation. My starting Thursday night bankroll for the purposes of this article was $1000.

Starting Balance: $1000
Current Balance: $1130

The Pick:
$300 on Rams – 5

New England has played a bit more inspired these past couple of weeks, but I still think the Rams are too much for them to handle up front. I’m not looking for a blowout, but like the Rams by a touchdown at home.
