Each week I will pick two games, my “Play it Safe” selection as well as my “Out on a Limb” pick:
Play It Safe (3-1): Bills vs. PIT
Buffalo got out of Baltimore with a W last week, now they return to face a Steelers’ team that will be overmatched on both sides of the ball. Look for the Bills’ D and the raucous crowd to make things extremely tough on rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett, who will be making his first career start.
Out on a Limb (1-3): Jaguars vs. HOU
The Jaguars have looked impressive early on this season, but somehow taking the Jaguars as your Survivor pick five weeks into the season seems a bit nerve wracking. However, they should handle business vs. a dismal Houston team that has struggled to put points on the scoreboard consistently.

The Pick:
$110 – Over 41.5 (-112 BetRivers)
Season total: (3-1 on season; +$200 season total – won last week w/Under 48)
I know I generally lean to the Under on Thursday Night Football and rightfully so, but this total seems a tad too low for my liking. With both teams down a stud running back, look for both offenses to be a bit more pass heavy than we’ve seen to this point. That should lead to more plays and ultimately more points in this contest than many expect.
