SURVIVOR
Each week I will pick two games, my “Play it Safe” selection as well as my “Out on a Limb” pick:

Play It Safe (3-0): Bills vs. HOU
You might want to hold Buffalo for later in the season, but sometimes taking the free square is too hard to pass up. The 17-point favorites should have no problems handing the visiting Texans. Go Bills and sleep like a baby!

Out on a Limb (3-0): Bengals vs. JCK
Taking the Bengals in a Prime Time game always scares me. However, I like the home team in this spot against a Jaguars’ team looking for an identity.  Joe Burrow and company should prove to be too much to handle for this Jacksonville defense. Who Dey!

THURSDAY NIGHT SPECIAL
You can get my complete “Against the Spread” plays to a separate article that will run each Saturday or Sunday morning this season. However, we will kick things off weekly here with my Thursday night betting recommendation. My starting Thursday night bankroll for the purposes of this article is $1000.

Starting Balance: $1000
Current Balance: $1200

The Pick:
$220 to win $200 Over 45.5 CIN/JCK

I was tempted to take the Jaguars here with the hook of the 7.5, but I simply cannot with any confidence tell you to put your money on this team right now. Instead, take the over in a contest I expect to be a sneaky shootout with both defenses dealing with some injuries.
