Each week I will pick two games, my “Play it Safe” selection as well as my “Out on a Limb” pick:
Play It Safe (2-0): Chiefs vs. CHI
After losing in Week 1 the Chiefs bounced back nicely with a big win on the road last week in Jacksonville. Now, Mahomes and company return to the friendly confines of Arrowhead Stadium to welcome the winless Bears. Kansas City is my favorite double-digit favorite of the week in Week 3.
Out on a Limb (1-1): Jaguars at HOU
Despite losing last week vs. KC the Jaguars are a team I am still buying in on. Look for a rebound game here for the Jacksonville offense. Taking the Jaguars doesn’t come without risk though as they’ve dropped six of their last seven contests to Houston.

The 49ers’ offense has looked pretty solid through two weeks, especially Christian McCaffrey. Meanwhile, the Giants went the first six quarters of the season before scoring 31 second-half points in Week 2 at Arizona. Things won’t come as easily vs. San Fran on a short week and without star running back Saquan Barkley. The 10.5 points may be a bit of a stretch for the 49ers to cover, but I am more confident on this total.
