SURVIVOR
Each week I will pick two games, my “Play it Safe” selection as well as my “Out on a Limb” pick:

Play It Safe (1-0): Cowboys vs. NYJ
The Cowboys’ defense is on top of the world after an awesome first week and now they get to return home to face an Aaron Rodgers-less Jets’ offense. Look for a physical battle, but in the end Dallas has too much fire power to ignore.

Out on a Limb (0-1): Giants at ARI
Taking a team that got beat by 40 points on the road the following weeks doesn’t seem like the brightest of ideas, but that only shows you what I think of the Cardinals. Take advantage of the lower ownership percentages here.

THURSDAY NIGHT SPECIALS
Look for my “Against the Spread” plays in a separate article that will run each Saturday this season. Here I will look at my Thursday night betting recommendation.

The Pick:
$100 Under 49.5 (-110 PointsBet)
Season total: $100 (1-0 on season)

The game line is tricky as I expect the Eagles to win, but laying 6.5 seems like just a tad too much. That said, I am going to go back to the old reliable, taking the under on the short weeks. I do expect some scoring here, but getting to 50 points might be a bit too much.

Same Game Parlay Prop Bet (DraftKings)
$20 (+750 DraftKings)
Season total: (-$20)

TJ Hockenson Over 44.5 ReYd
Alexander Mattison Under 64.5 RuYd
Kirk Cousins 5+ RuYd
Devonta Smith Anytime TD
