Each week I will pick two games, my “Play it Safe” selection as well as my “Out on a Limb” pick:
Play It Safe (1-0): Rams vs. ATL
The Rams are in a prime spot for a bounce back after getting embarrassed a week ago by the Bills in the season opener. The Falcons were a bit more feisty than I was thinking last week vs. the Saints, but now they’ll be on the road against a team that is better than them at nearly every position.
Out on a Limb (0-1): Browns vs. NYJ
Going against Joe Flacco worked out well last week for me last week with the Ravens and I am riding it again here with a Cleveland defense that won’t be forgiving. I’m not sure I’m laying the 6.5 points with the Browns, but I will take them to win at home here.

The total has shot up 1.5 points over the past few days, but I think bettors are over estimating things a little bit. The Chargers will be a much more formidable foe for this Chiefs’ offense and without Keenan Allen, LA could struggle, at least early in the contest, to get into a rhythm. There are going to be plenty of points in this one, but not enough to get to the over.
