SURVIVOR
Each week I will pick two games, my “Play it Safe” selection as well as my “Out on a Limb” pick:

Play It Safe (10-4): 49ers vs. ATL
San Francisco is starting to look like the team we thought they were on both sides of the ball. George Kittle has been a monster and Deebo Samuel has managed to get back on the field quickly following a one-week absence. They should have no problem handling the visiting Falcons in this contest.

Out on a Limb (14-0): Dolphins vs. NYJ
Miami has worked their way back into the AFC playoff discussion and can keep that momentum going by taking care of a Jets’ team that has been underwhelming of late and now playing without some key pieces offensively. Go Dolphins!

THURSDAY NIGHT SPECIAL
You can get my complete “Against the Spread” plays to a separate article that will run each Saturday or Sunday morning this season. However, we will kick things off weekly here with my Thursday night betting recommendation. My starting Thursday night bankroll for the purposes of this article is $1000.

Starting Balance: $1000
Current Balance: $720

The Pick:
$110 to win $100 Under 52

I am holding out as long as possible thinking that this goes up higher than 52. I like this bet even more if Derwin James (hamstring) is active and in that case might be inclined to double my investment.
