SURVIVOR
Each week I will pick two games, my “Play it Safe” selection as well as my “Out on a Limb” pick:

Play It Safe (7-3): Browns vs. DET
For the third straight week, my “play it safe” pick lost their game. I’m starting to think I’m like the Madden jinx. Let’s see if I can buck the trend here. Coming off a beatdown at the hands of the Pats, the Browns get Nick Chubb back (confirm before picking) and return home. Go Cleveland.

Out on a Limb (10-0): Chargers vs. PIT
Taking risks has paid off as anyone who has stuck with my “out on a limb” selection every week is still alive. This week I’m going with the Chargers in this spot. They’re are hard team to get a feel for but the Steelers have overperformed and a could be missing some key cogs.

THURSDAY NIGHT SPECIAL
You can get my complete “Against the Spread” plays to a separate article that will run each Saturday or Sunday morning this season. However, we will kick things off weekly here with my Thursday night betting recommendation. My starting Thursday night bankroll for the purposes of this article is $1000.

Starting Balance: $1000
Current Balance: $330

The Pick:
$220 to win $200 – Under 47.5

It’s been brutal on my Thursday night bets of late. Early in the season I lost on some crazy things just missing. Of late, I just haven’t even come close. This week I’m going back to under, especially with no Cordarrelle Patterson for the Falcons.
