SURVIVOR
Each week I will pick two games, my “Play it Safe” selection as well as my “Out on a Limb” pick:

Play It Safe: Chargers at NYJ
The Jets are back off the bye and that means many will be back picking against the winless football team. I prefer the Chargers over the Jets slightly over the Steelers at the Jaguars primarily because the Chargers are at home here and New York is making the long trip across the country to LA. Both are fine picks.

Out on a Limb: Vikings vs. DAL
Minnesota looked solid on Monday Night and are playing on the short week. But they’re at home vs. a Dallas team that has been brutal. I expect the Cowboys to be a bit better coming out of the bye and with Andy Dalton back under center, but it won’t be enough to keep the Vikings from getting a W.

THURSDAY NIGHT SPECIAL
You can get my complete “Against the Spread” plays to a separate article that will run each Saturday or Sunday morning this season. In its place here, I offer up a Thursday night betting recommendation. My starting Thursday night bankroll for the purposes of this article was $1000.

Starting Balance: $1000
Current Balance: $630

The Pick:
$220 – Under 57.5

We’ve hit a bit of a rough patch here the last few weeks on our Thursday night play. The Week 11 edition of TNF should be a good one though. The Seahawks have struggled a bit without Chris Carson, who is expected to be back here. I do think these two teams get into the 50’s, but fall just short of this high total, which is most spots in the highest over/under of the week.
