SURVIVOR
Each week I will pick two games, my “Play it Safe” selection as well as my “Out on a Limb” pick. So far my Play It Safe pick is 5-0 and my Out on a Limb selection is 4-1 on the year :

Play It Safe: Bills vs. WAS
There aren’t many teams to pick on, but the Redskins qualify. The Bills D is pretty tough and they should have no problems handling the Redskins at home, especially is rookie Dwayne Haskins is under center. Look for a double-digit win by the home team in a game with the lowest total of the week.

Out on a Limb: Eagles vs. CHI
Both of these teams have been disappointing at times this season, but the Bears are much worse. The Eagles at home won’t need to score too many points to make it tough for Chicago to keep pace. I like the Eagles by a touchdown.

THURSDAY NIGHT SPECIAL
I am moving my complete “Against the Spread” plays to a separate article that will run each Saturday or Sunday morning this season. In its place here, I am introducing a new Thursday night betting recommendation. My starting Thursday night bankroll for the purposes of this article is $1000.

Starting Balance: $1000
Current Balance: $1435

The Pick:
$110 49ers -10

This game will be closer than many think, but I don’t expect the Cardinals to be able to put too many points on the board. Look for the visitors to pull away in the fourth quarter and get a back-end cover here.
