SURVIVOR
Each week I will pick two games, my “Play it Safe” selection as well as my “Out on a Limb” pick. So far my Play It Safe pick is 8-2 and my Out on a Limb selection is 8-2 on the year :

Play It Safe: Vikings
Minnesota got banged up in Seattle on Monday night and have a short week to recover. However, they are much tougher at home and facing a rookie quarterback like Dwayne Haskins is just what the doctor ordered.

Out on a Limb: Steelers
The Steelers have defied logic most of the year and I still have my concerns about them. That said, the defense is legit and their undermanned offense will benefit from playing one of the league’s worst defenses in Arizona.

THURSDAY NIGHT SPECIAL
I am moving my complete “Against the Spread” plays to a separate article that will run each Saturday or Sunday morning this season. In its place here, I am introducing a new Thursday night betting recommendation. My starting Thursday night bankroll for the purposes of this article is $1000.

Starting Balance: $1000
Current Balance: $1105

The Pick:
$110 Cowboys -3

Dallas has struggled all year playing good teams, but the Bears don’t qualify as that. I’ll take my chances with Dak and the boys on the road here and look to snap my two-game skid on the Thursday Night Special selection. How ’bout them Cowboys! Dallas by a touchdown or better here.
