SURVIVOR
Each week I will pick two games, my “Play it Safe” selection as well as my “Out on a Limb” pick. So far my Play It Safe pick is 8-2 and my Out on a Limb selection is 8-2 on the year :

Play It Safe: Panthers
The Redskins surprised me last week vs. the Lions, but that was at home. It won’t be as easy for Dwayne Haskins and company this week at Carolina against a Panther team that has dropped three straight games and in desperate need of a win.

Out on a Limb: Bears
I don’t like taking road teams or divisional foes, but this deep into the season you might need to reach a bit. The Bears’ D has struggled, but they won’t on Turkey Day vs. David Blough under center.

THURSDAY NIGHT SPECIAL
I am moving my complete “Against the Spread” plays to a separate article that will run each Saturday or Sunday morning this season. In its place here, I am introducing a new Thursday night betting recommendation. My starting Thursday night bankroll for the purposes of this article is $1000.

Starting Balance: $1000
Current Balance: $1215

The Pick:
$110 Bears -5.5

As mentioned above the Lions have no running game and are now on a third-string QB. I don’t think the Bears will blow them out, but I do expect them to win by a TD or more.
